The Sales Funnel For Effective Online Marketing
The sales funnel has been a part of conventional business and marketing for times not known. In recent times however, it appears that funnels are being talked about everywhere on the internet.
People want to learn more about the concept of marketing and the ways it could be utilized to enhance their online marketing strategies. If you would like to learn more about the sales funnel to help you with efficient Internet marketing I invite you to read on.
The Sales Funnel: What exactly is it?
A marketing funnel isn't a real funnel. In this case using funnel is to visual describe the process of selling from beginning to its conclusion. Since it has a broad entry way for potential customers "Unqualified prospects" on the top and a much narrower opening to convert sales at the bottom the term funnel is an accurate comparison.

The top of the funnel or entry point to the funnel are those people we might consider to be "unqualified prospects" These are people who might require your products or services, but you have not yet contacted them. After several sales and offers you'll have people who have purchased your product or service.
Another reason why a lead-generation funnel concept is so efficient is that it allows you monitor potential prospects at different levels of the sales process. The sales funnel permits you to anticipate the amount of potential customers who will eventually become customers by calculating the qualified prospects at each stage.
A sales funnel can aid you in determining the areas where your sales strategy is failing or successful or if your marketing campaign isn't attracting enough customers. This information helps you choose the best place to focus your effort to make sure that sales are on the right level and that you are meeting your marketing goals. It can be used to monitor and evaluate the sales process of your customers.
The top of the Sales Funnel or Front - End
The top part of your sales funnel should undergo the most constant testing and be the most active. There is no limit to your imagination or resources when it comes to front-end strategies.
The main purpose of the front end is to draw potential customers in and turn them into buyers further down the sales process.
When a potential customer decides to sign up for your offer, they become "qualified". This is the point of the sales funnel at which the prospective customer or "Unqualified prospect" is a qualified lead because they have taken actions which show they are sufficiently interested to buy your product.
Your front-end should be able to drive specific traffic to your site or blog. Article marketing, PPC ads, social media (Google+ Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) banners, and blogging are the most effective methods and resources to do this.
There are a variety of methods that you can use to "qualify prospects who aren't qualified". A squeeze page is one of the most effective methods to "qualify" the prospects who are not qualified. It lets you offer something of value, related to your products or services, that people can receive for free or at a greatly reduced cost by requesting their email address. The items offered range from newsletters, video, ebooks, e-mail courses as well as related reports.
It is clear that the front-end is where customers are attracted to your sales funnel. But what do you think of the back-end?
The Bottom of the Funnel or the Back-End
The back-end (or bottom) of your sales channel is where the majority of profits and sales take place. This area usually includes the most costly products. Basically these would be relevant to the same niche but presented in a different format, such as video, audio live interaction, or private consultation.
The main distinction between the front-end of the service and the back end is the type or price of the client.
While it's true that just one percent, or 1-2% of the overall number of folks who enter your front end, will be in the back-end. Because a few people will spend more money, it's okay.
It's clear that while front-end services or products can be priced under $100, back-end products and/or services are often priced between the 100s and 1000s. This makes the bottom of the sales funnel, or back-end, the main source of revenue for your Internet company. It's also the most reliable and stable area in the sales process.
As I said in the past, the sales funnel can be customizable as much as your imagination and resources allow.
